2018 NDC – Important Change

Due to an administrative error, the Red Rock Resort and Casino, the venue for the NDC,

does not have a sufficient number of rooms blocked for the IPA for the final night of the

conference, 8 November, when the banquet was scheduled.  That is a problem because

they are already nearly at capacity for that night, with only 5 rooms vacant.  In order to

ensure that everyone has lodging after the final banquet, we are moving the final banquet

one day earlier---it will take place the evening of Wednesday, 7 November.

This means that attendees will be able to depart on 8 November, eliminating the need to

stay the night of 8 November.

·         Any person who is planning to attend the NDC and who has not already made hotel and

travel arrangements should plan to stay through the evening of 7 November, with check out

taking place on 8 November for your return travels.

·         For anyone who has already made travel plans to stay until 9 November, and who can

make changes in travel departure arrangements, the hotel reservation can be changed to

eliminate the final night (8 November).

·         Any person who has already made motel reservations to stay 8 November in order

to stay for the final banquet, and who cannot change travel arrangements to leave

earlier without undue extra expense, can apply to the NEC for reimbursement for the

hotel charge for 8 November or the cost to change travel arrangements, whichever is less.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause those of you that have already

made all of your travel plans.
