Reece Edgerton-Watkins, a Camp Verde High School Senior was awarded a $500.00 scholarship at a recent meeting in Prescott Valley of the Region 61 International Police Association (IPA).
Reece, whose parents are Detective Pam Edgerton of Yavapai County Sheriffs Office and Mr Rick Watkins, submitted the winning essay on the topic "Population density and how it relates to the crime rate". The third annual IPA essay competition was open to children or grandchildren of any active or retired law enforcement officer in Northern Arizona. After graduation, Reece plans to attend college in Arizona or Missouri.
