Miami and Madrid - Sister IPA Cities

In May 1997, forty three members of Region 43 traveled to Spain where Miami and Madrid became sister IPA cities. The two Regions conducted the ceremony at Police Headquarters in Madrid. We signed a document acknowledging our newly founded relationship. 

The Madrid Police Department honored our presence with a Canine and Mounted Unit demonstration. Following the festivities we enjoyed a tour of the facilities and a luncheon. Our members then departed Madrid for a tour of Spain culminating in Barcelona.
