Region 43 was chartered in July 1993, and now has over 600 members from 45 differernt agencies/departments. Any serving or retired law enforcement officer living or working in this area is welcome to join us. The I.P.A. is the largest police fraternal organization in the world, with nearly 300,000 members in 58 countries, and Region 43 is a popular travel destination for many of them. In the past years we have met members from most European Countries, as well as Australia, and South Africa.

Our region maintains close ties with local law enforcement (over 75% of our members are active officers) and we are happy to arrange police related activities for visitors. In the last two years we have arranged complete programs for three German police classes who traveled here to study American law enforcement techniques.

We invite all IPA members to come to Southern Florida and visit. Region 43 has it all, from professional sports ( Marlins, Dolphins, Panthers, and Heat ) to plenty of sunshine, beaches, deep sea fishing, and the beautiful Everglades.

Now available via e-mail, the latest version of Region 43's IPA Today Newsletter. It is available in the "Adobe" format, the reader/program is available free on the Internet. (Note: I always virus check the file before it is sent.) If you would like a copy sent to you, send an e-mail request to our editor, Rick Silberman.
