While conducting IPA Business with Bank of America, I learned of the Neighborhood Champion program and I thought all members should be informed. This is a very impressive program designed to benefit police officers and other "champions". The complete press release is online at http://newsroom.bankofamerica.com /index.php?s=press_ releases &item=7852 In short, the Bank of America provides a mortgage program exclusively for police officers, firefighters, teachers and medical workers with an insurance feature that will repay all or a portion of their outstanding mortgage balance, up to $300,000, in the event of accidental death, permanent paralysis or dismemberment. There are many other benefits such as borrowers do not have to qualify and receive coverage regardless of health status. Certainly worth looking into for active officers.
