Introduction

The bylaws are divided into two sections, the Statutes and Standing Rules. A complete revision and update of the bylaws was adopted at the NDC in San Francisco on August 31, 1990.

Glossary

1. IEC:                 International Executive council; International officers and Delegates of each member country;   the annual Convention of these officers for business, and members for social events.
2. IPA:                International Police Association.
3. NEC:               National Executive Committee; National Officers.
4. NDC:              National Delegate Council; National officers and Delegates of each Region; A convention of these officers for business, and members for social events.
5. PEB:                Permanent Executive Board;  International Officers
6. REGION:        Chapter of the IPA within the section.
7. SECTION:      Member’s Country of the IPA.
8. WORLD CONGRESS:  Triennial meeting of the IEC when PEB elections occur.
