2014 US IPA TRAINING PROGRAM

January 21-23

American Police Hall of Fame and Museum

Titusville, Florida

Cancellation of US IPA Training Program

              Scheduled for January 2014

Sadly, the US IPA Training Committee must announce the cancellation of the US IPA Training Program that was scheduled for January 2014.

The number of attendees did not reach the required minimums to ensure expenses could be covered and a quality program provided.

We are encouraged and grateful, however, by the interest that was expressed by our foreign IPA colleagues and will be moving forward in the future with plans to adjust the Training Program. We hope to partner with a University in the USA and move the program into the summer to allow for a broader experience.

The IPA across the world needs to provide things for younger and older members alike; while it is sad that this particular program cannot move forward, we are excited for the future possibilities and have no intention of surrendering!

*CERTIFICATION*                                                                       *ANNUAL TRAINING CREDIT*

Isis Crespo with Florida Department of Law Enforcement - Bureau of Professional Development has informed the IPA Training Seminar Committee that FDLE does not have to approve our training topics in advance in order for them to qualify for officer annual re-certification hours.

Each individual agency has the ability to approve this training for their officer's annual training hours if they feel it is acceptable training for their agency standards.
